DIAGNOSTICS · ADVANCED BLOOD TESTS LONDON

What your standard blood test misses.

Comprehensive blood and hormone analysis read within a clinical framework, not isolated reference ranges, so patterns across biomarkers reveal what a single number cannot.

WHAT IT IS

Advanced blood and hormone testing

A comprehensive panel evaluating the physiological systems that drive energy, body composition and long-term health. The true insight comes from analysing patterns across multiple biomarkers rather than isolated numbers, interpreted by HCPC-registered dietitians within the Explore assessment, and where appropriate alongside an independent doctor's review.

WHAT IT COVERS

Four systems, one picture

Hormonal health

Total and free testosterone, SHBG, LH and FSH, thyroid (TSH, free T4) and cortisol, central to energy, libido, body composition and recovery.

Nutritional status

Ferritin and iron studies, vitamin D, vitamin B12, folate and magnesium, the nutrients that quietly drive energy, mood and performance.

Cardiometabolic health

Full lipid profile including ApoB where indicated, HbA1c and fasting glucose, plus hs-CRP and other inflammation markers, the early signals of cardiovascular and metabolic risk.

Organ function

Liver enzymes (ALT, GGT), kidney function and full blood count, for a complete physiological view and to contextualise every other marker.

WHAT IT MATTERS

The difference between normal and optimal

A result inside the population reference range is not the same as optimal for a high-performing man. Read in context and over time, advanced markers surface the early, fixable drift, declining testosterone, rising insulin resistance, nutrient gaps, that a standard NHS panel and a ten-minute review will miss. See also hormone testing for men.

HOW IT WORKS

Drawn at home, read with you

  • A qualified phlebotomist visits you at home or at your office, at a time that suits your diary, no clinic queue

  • Samples are taken fasted and early where hormones and lipids require it, for the most accurate possible read

  • The full panel is processed by an accredited laboratory

  • Your results are interpreted as a pattern, not a printout, and talked through with you, with an independent doctor's review arranged where appropriate

HOW IT IS FOR

Designed for

  • Men with fatigue, low drive, stalled body composition or poor recovery who want to know why

  • Those whose standard GP bloods came back normal but who do not feel right

  • Anyone managing cardiometabolic risk who wants the early, fixable signals, not just the late ones

  • Men considering or already on testosterone or other hormone support who need proper monitoring

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Can I complete the blood test at home?

Yes. The comprehensive blood test is recommended at home for a more accurate determination of hormones and fasting lipids, with a phlebotomist coming to you.

Do I need to fast?

For the most accurate lipid and glucose results we usually ask you to fast overnight and have the draw in the morning. We confirm exactly what is needed when you book.

Is it interpreted, or just reported?

Interpreted. Every panel is read within a clinical framework by HCPC-registered dietitians, with an independent doctor's review where appropriate, not left for you to decode.

Can you prescribe based on the results?

Dietitians interpret and advise; any prescribing, including hormone therapy, is handled by a licensed physician, whom we coordinate with where appropriate.

How does it fit the assessment?

Bloods sit within the Explore assessment alongside DEXA and metabolic testing, where the patterns become most meaningful.
